Get The Look - Aimee The Blossom Tree Ball

We've really been feeling the red lip vibe in Sculpted lately, so today I'm going to go through more of a Spring / Summer Pinky Makeup look which is very on trend right now!

I'm basing this one on my own makeup look from the Blossom Tree Ball where I was keeping in with the pinky theme of the night!!

Base;

I used the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer as a base for makeup. This is one of those cult beauty buys and helps blur any large pores and sets the skin for makeup. It's transparent in consistency and helps to keep your makeup on for longer! You can find this one here

Foundation

I used one of my favourite foundations on the night. MAC Studio Fix is an excellent long wearing foundation without it being too heavy on the skin. It's a matte base so it gives great coverage and stays in place, without getting too cakey or drying. I love the fact that it's medium to full coverage so a little goes a long way and you can just use a little extra in the areas you need it! You can find this one here

I then used Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder to set the face. I always get asked at Masterclasses if you should set your face after you do your full face of makeup or just after foundation and it just cracks me up the reaction when I say definitely just after foundation! The reason for this is because you are going to be adding contour and highlight after this and you want these to be the products that lift your makeup so setting first helps your base last longer too! With the Makeup Forever Translucent Powder a little goes a long way and it gives a lovely luminous matte finish.

Contour

I'm all about mixing up my products at the moment! For my contour I used a mix of Medium Bronze and Deep Bronze. I lightly worked my double ended brush into both and removed the excess by tapping at the edge of the palette, and worked into the hollow of the cheekbones, down the sides of my nose and around the hairline. It's totally up to yourself if you want to put a little around your jawline but just be careful that it's not too much!

For my cream highlight I used Champagne Cream along the tips of my cheekbones, down the centre of my nose and cupids bow. Cream Highlight is so easy to use, just tap it along the areas mentioned using your ring finger and allow the heat of your hand to melt the consistency onto the skin.

I followed this with Rose Gold Glow powder highlight, using the highlight end of my double ended brush. Just pop this in the exact same areas as the cream highlight for that extra glow!

Blush was one of the main components of achieving my makeup look and I actually ended up using a mix of Pinky Hues and Pink Swoon, just a little of each on the tip of my Setter Brush, and applied to the apples of the cheeks. You can find all of these here!

Eyes and Brows

On my brows I used MAC Dip Down and applied using the definer brush. This is actually a brown gel liner so handy to double up too!

Again, I used a mix on my eyes, starting off with MAC Tan Pigment all over the lid and to get an extra pinky pop I used MAC Slow Fast Slow which is a lovely creamy glitter consistency and gives amazing colour.

I had just had semi permanent lashes done so for a little added definition I added a few individual lashes to the outer corner of my eyes.

Lips

Obviously I'm a big fan of lipliner so for this look I used Rose from the Pink Edition Lip Quad to line my lips and used a lipstick of similar colour to finish off the look!

And there you have it, my very simple makeup look from the Blossom Tree Ball! We were having such a laugh we didn't manage to get many pics but that's always a good complaint!!

Hope you enjoyed the look,

Lot's of love,

Aimee xx
