This course is aimed at those that are looking to begin or explore their career in makeup. It is perfect for those who have a major interest in makeup, who want to explore the idea of working professionally with makeup or who studied years ago and need to refreshen their skills. Attaining the VTCT qualification allows you to work freely on the counter, as a freelancer or on editorial too.

After you should feel confident as a makeup artist ready to work freelance, on the counter or in film, fashion, or bridal. This certificate delves into the most requested makeup looks whilst offering a  thorough overview of the essential makeup theory. 

This course is aimed at beginners and works right up to professionals.

What do I need?

You will need to purchase a folder, dividers, sleeves, pens, and a notepad. You will also need access to a computer and printer at times when completing your assignments. 

What is Involved in this course?

- Client care and communication/selling skills

- Intro to hygiene & skin prep

- Understanding your tools

- Theory of Eye, Brow & Face Shapes

- Blending

- Contouring

- Smokey Eyes

- Lip Precision

- Colour Theory

- Lashes

These are all combined over a series of creating different looks:

- Bridal, Vintage, Editorial, Day to Night Occasion Makeup.

As part of this course, students will be required to complete projects that feature different looks. You will be working on each other and there will be times where models are required - this information will be given to you when necessary.

Payment plan: €500 due beforehand (includes the initial €250 deposit) and then the balance can be paid over the initial 6 weeks.

VTCT award in the Art of Photographic Makeup Level 2. Lots of our past students have continued on to excel in freelance, bridal or makeup counters.

Our expert tutors will teach you on how to achieve various looks that are perfect for on-the-go or a fancy occasion. This course is ideal for those looking to learn for themselves - those who love makeup, want to discover more and want to have some 'me time'.

It is a fantastically interactive course one afternoon morning / mid-week evening a week for 6 weeks that will improve your skill and cover those topics you’ve always wanted to know about.

If you have been wearing the same make-up for years and need some inspiration and advice this is the perfect workshop for you to attend.

Join our Tutor as they take you through all things skincare and complexion in the morning followed by eye makeup application in the afternoon. Sharing age-defying tips and tricks, discussing the best products and how to make them work for you. Demos will be followed by hands-on work for you to recreate these looks under the guidance of our Tutor; allowing one on one time with each student. By the end of the workshop, you will have a better mindset and confidence with your approach to your skin, makeup application and products.

How It Works:

Join us once a week for a live online tutorial with our Academy Tutor in the same place and at the same time!

1. Before the online tutorial, you will receive an email with a link to the course. At the time of the tutorial, or just before, open this link. You will then be able to watch the Tutor create the look of the week, talking you through products and techniques whilst answering your questions through a live Q and A.

(Don’t worry if you can’t join the live class you will be able to watch it on playback through the same link any time you want.)

2. The next step is for you to work on recreating the look yourself, in your own time over that week. You can upload your photos of the look and get feedback from us. Uploading of looks can be done via the same link where the live tutorial was hosted and can be done as many times as you would like on that look.

A complimentary brush set will be posted to you when you sign up so you have the tools to achieve the various looks each week. Don't worry if you don't have your brushes for the first night the main thing is that you get them over that week to get practising!

We will set up a WhatsApp group so that we can all keep in touch for the duration of the course!
