Get The Look - Kate

Hello!

We’re just about coming down from the excitement of last night’s launch of Beauty Base! As we have said we've been using this on shoots for about 6 months now, and overall its been in progress for about two years so to say we’re excited would be an understatement!

I think we all know the struggle of having to apply a moisturiser, primer, strobe and SPF. The confusion is endless, and we're practically exhausted before we even get to foundation! So welcome Beauty Base!

Here's the gorgeous Kate before wearing it and after it’s applied;

Kate has beautiful skin, but check out that lovely glow. You can find all the Beauty Base Basics here!

Today I'm going to go through Kate's makeup look from our Beauty Base shoot, where the theme of this one was a glowing, bronzed look - very suitable for out mini heatwave today!!

Prep;

I prepped Kate's skin with Beauty Base. Beauty Base includes SPF 30, Hyaluronic Acid and a gorgeous iridescent glow. It acts as your 3-in-1 base for makeup or you can just wear it on it's own for a gorgeous glow.

Base

I used the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation on Kate, this is the perfect foundation on anyone who's not looking for loads of coverage, and has a lovely dewy finish. I used a little Catrice Under Eye concealer and worked this in under the eye. To finish and set the face I used Bourjois Java Rice which is a lovely, finely milled powder that doesn't cake and even has a little glow.

Contour

I used the Bronzed Bombshell Custom Edition Palette for Kate's contour. Using Deep Bronze, which is a lovely warm tone, I applied this to the hollows of the cheekbones, along the sides of the nose, and around the hairline. Using the Sculpted Double Ended Brush of course!!

I then used Golden Hue Cream Highlight along the tips of the cheekbones, just tapping it on using my finger, down the centre of the nose and along the cupids bow.

Following this I used Golden Glow Powder Highlight and the highlight end of the double ended brush, lightly dusting the exact same areas as the powder highlight.

Using Pure Peach, I applied this onto the apples of the cheek using the Setter Brush and brought it back slightly towards the contour.

Eyes / Brows

I think anyone who has been following me for a while knows how I absolutely love to double up products, I just think it's the handiest thing to have one palette in your bag that can be used for everything! Using the Blender Eye Brush I used Deep Bronze again on the eyelid, leaving a gap between bone and the brow. I then used golden glow in the tear duct and along the brow bone to highlight.

Finishing off the look with a black kohl pencil pressed along the lash line. Kate has amazing full brows so I just used a little Benefit Gimme Brow to groom and fill in her brows - which is just one of the easiest brow products to use! To finish the eyes I used Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara.

Lips

I lined Kate's lips with Buff from the Nude Lip Quad and popped a lovely creamy lipstick on top!

We hope you love the look and we really hope you love Beauty Base as much as we do!!

Lots of love,

Aimee xx
