Everyone knows that for a polished makeup look, it all starts with your complexion. Whether you’re going for a more natural, pared-down look, or opting for full glam, foundation, concealer, bronzer, and highlighter can be built up into a smooth, glowing base.

And, to make all of this easier, you need the right face brushes. Thankfully, Sculpted has got you covered.

  • Achieve a radiant base with our double-headed complexion brushes! Our Foundation Duo Brush features a soft buffer brush for flawless application at one end, and a tapered brush for precise contouring at the other; while our Concealer Duo Brush features fluffy and flat tapered heads for targeted application - so you can build your coverage in a way you want.
  • For the brushes that can do it all, it has to be the Complexion Duo Brush and the Perfecting Duo Brush. This duo of duos are your new go-tos for flawless foundation, concealer, and cheek makeup application. Use the Complexion Duo to seamlessly blend foundation and concealer, then sculpt and define your cheeks with the Perfecting Duo for a lifted finish.
  • Finish off any look with a light dusting of setting powder using The Setter or our Set and Perfect Brush. These two help you add the finishing touches for effortlessly long-lasting makeup - so make sure you complete your kit with these essentials today.

Top tip: love our Satin Silk Longwear range? Elevate your application with the Stippling Duo Brush for effortless blending and a high-coverage finish with both our Satin Silk Longwear Foundation and Satin Silk Longwear Concealer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still got questions? Find the answers you’re looking for below…

Q. How often should you clean your makeup brushes?

Dirt and old product can build up over time, so cleaning your makeup brushes regularly is essential to help protect your skin. Depending on the type of brush, you’ll want to clean them anywhere from once a week to once a month.

Not sure where to get started? We have a handy guide on How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes Like a Pro! right here.

Q. When should you replace your makeup brushes?

While it’s not an exact science, you should probably replace your brushes every couple of years. To help you know when you should replace your makeup brushes, be on the lookout for wear like:

  • Damaged or shedding bristles.
  • Oily or stiff bristles that don’t resolve with cleaning.
  • Misshapen brush heads.
  • A lingering smell.

If you notice these signs, it’s time for a change.

Top tip: looking after your brushes properly, including regular cleaning, can help to extend their lifespan.

Q. What is the difference between a fluffy and a dense makeup brush?

Makeup brush heads are often described as fluffy or dense, but what does this actually mean?

  • Fluffy brush heads have a looser concentration of bristles, for a softer, more diffused application. They’re perfect for applying powders where you want to build coverage with a lighter touch.
  • Dense brush heads have more bristles that are tightly packed. This allows you to apply creams and liquids easily for more opaque coverage. You’ll want to use a dense brush head for cream concealers, liquid foundations etc where you want medium to fuller coverage.

Q. How do I store my makeup brushes?

At home, you want to store single-head brushes upright to prevent the bristles from warping or bending. For double-headed brushes, try and store them flat to protect both heads.

Try to keep your brushes in a drawer, or covered with a case or lid to prevent dust from getting trapped in the bristles.

Top tip: if you have multiple brushes, store them by use to make it easier to find the one you’re looking for.
