Get The Look - The Galway Masterclass Edit
Hello!
We had our first of our Spring Masterclasses last night in Galway. The Galmont is such a lovely hotel and the staff were amazing! We had all of the makeup chats with lots of great beauty questions! Thanks to all the amazing ladies who attended and made the masterclass so much fun. So today we're going to run through look two of the night on our gorgeous model Aisling.
Prep
I prepped the skin with a glowing primer / moisturiser and popped some MAC Painterly Primer on the eye lids. If you want your eyeshadow to last and not crease an eyeshadow primer is key, and I love this one from MAC.
Base
For the base I used NARS complete concealer and popped this on before foundation on any areas that needed a little extra coverage, with Armani Power Fabric Concealer underneath the eyes. This is a lovely creamy concealer and you can just pop it on using your finger. Taking the Buffer Brush from the Sculpted Essentials Brush Set I worked NARS Longwear Radiant onto the skin. This is a lovely glowing foundation but has better staying power than the Nars Sheer Glow which was perfect for Aislings skin. I set all of this using the Bourjois Java Rice powder which is such a great product, leaving the skin with a lovely glow.

Eyes / Brows
Starting at the first hair I worked some Benefit Kabrow into the brow, you always start there as you want the lease amount of product at the outer edge. So just using light strokes with the definer brush I worked the product through the brow, and always give the brows a brush through with the spoolie end of the brush!
My top tip for eyes is that good brushes are essential. Using the blender brush which is a big fluffy blending brush, I popped on some bronzer from the Sculpted Palette and blending all the time. Don't take it the whole way up to the eyebrow.
I then used a darker brown, MAC Brown Down for the smokey effect, and underneath the eye at the edges and bringing a little of the bronze colour underneath.
I used MAC Coppering on the flat part of the eye. It's a nice way to wear a little bit of colour with Golden Glow Powder Highlight all around the tear duct. For the real smokey sultry effect I used Maxfactor Brown Kohl Pencil on the waterline.
Top tips when doing a flick is to have a really good thin angle brush and start off in a very thin line, as you can build up on this but it's hard to come back from!
This gives you a little bit of leeway if you go too thick at the inside. Stop at the last lash and start again to get the flick very lightly out, and turn your brush around and fill it back in! And I popped Penney's individual lashes at the edge with some Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara!
Contour
I used the Medium Bronze from our Gold Edition Palette and the Sculpted Double ended brush to apply Aisling's contour. Pop it into the hollows of the cheekbones, around the hairline and a little on the jawline, and down the sides of the nose for that lovely sculpted look!
I then used the Golden Glow Highlight and the highlight end of the double ended brush, and popped this onto the tips of the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and along the cupids bow. It's a lovely highlight for more of a glam finish, I would use this all over my collar bones if I'm going to an event!
And to finish the contour I used Sunset Sheen Blush, which is a peachy pinky blush onto the apples of the cheek. This one has a lovely glow in it!
The Gold Edition
Lips
I went for a peachy lip using Buff from the Nude Lip Quad. To help maximise the lips I lined a little outside the lip line, it's an amazing hack for making your lips appear bigger, and popped Rimmel Stay Matte Be my Baby on top!
And there you have it, I hope you liked the look!!
Lots of Love,
Aimee xx
