Get The Look - Kate

Hello!

Sun is shining and we're feeling all summery! So we wanted to run through a healthy radiant look from our Beauty Base campaign featuring the gorgeous Kate Vaughn!

Base

For Kate's primer and SPF we used Beauty Base (of course!) Kate has beautiful skin with Beauty Base giving a gorgeous golden glow underneath her makeup. This is a 3-in-1 moisturising primer with SPF 30, Hyaluronic Acid and a golden strobe effect, so it can be worn on its own or underneath makeup.

Foundation

I used NARS Longwear Radiant on Kate's skin. This is a lovely foundation that has medium to full coverage that you can build up on. It doesn't dry out the skin and it still leaves a lovely healthy luminous effect. I buffed this onto the skin using the Sculpted Buffer brush and finished the base with a sweep of Bourjois Java Rice. This is a really fine milled finishing powder with sets your makeup and illuminates the skin!

Contour

I used the Golden Girl Custom Edition for this look which consists of Medium Bronze, Champagne Cream highlight, Rose Gold Glow powder highlight and Sunset Sheen blush!

Using the fluffier end of my Double Ended Brush I popped Medium Bronze into the hollows of the cheekbones, around the hairline, and the sides of the nose. This lifts the face and adds warmth and definition.

Can we have a moment for that highlight though?! The best way to apply cream highlight is to use your finger, this warms up the product and then it's so easy to just lightly tap it onto the skin. I popped this onto the tips of the cheekbones and around the temple, a little on the nose and along the cupids bow! Champagne Cream leaves the skin with a lovely dewy finish, it's quite a neutral shade so it suits everyone!

I followed this with Rose Gold Glow and the highlight end of my Sculpted Double Ended Brush which is small enough to just apply where you need it! I just swept this along the tips of Kate's cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and along the cupids bow for a glowing finish.

Using the Setter Brush I applied the blush to the apples of the cheeks and angled it back towards the contour. Sunset Sheen is a lovely Peachy / Pinky blush with a slight highlight so it gives a really healthy glow to the skin!

Eyes

We went for a very subtle eye look for Kate as we wanted her skin and contour to be the focus of the look so I just popped a little of the Medium Bronze on the eyes using the Blender brush from the Sculpted Essentials Brush Set. A big fluffy brush is your best friend when it comes to applying shadow.

I popped some of the Champagne Cream Highlight onto the tear duct and just on the brow bone which really opens up the eye and gives that bright eyed and bushy tailed kind of look! I swept a little bit of Sunset Sheen Blush onto the eye lid too, the Custom Edition is amazing for doubling up! (If I do say so myself!!)

Finishing the look I used Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara and popped a little Benefit Gimme Brow onto Kates brows for a little definition.

Lips

For Kate's lips I used Buff from the Nude Edition Lip Quad to line and fill the lips and popped a similar shade creamy lipstick on top!

It's so easy to achieve a healthy, glowing makeup look with just a few products! Hope you liked the edit!

Lots of love,

Aimee xx
