5 Top Up Products You Need On Your Wedding Day

I’m lucky to get to do lots of gorgeous brides on their biggest day and with that come plenty of experience in terms of what I can advise and hopefully help with along the way. Have a great makeup artist with you on the morning is fantastic but there may be moments along the day where you need to have one or two bits with you - particularly for the photographs but it should only take a few seconds! :)

Powder;

Powder is one of those automatic top up products that’s good to bring with you especially on a day where people will be pulling you from all directions and even if you're not oily you may get a little sweaty. You’ll only really need it before the photos or once the dancing kicks in but its good to have., You could go for MAC Studio Fix pressed powder but if like me you don't love a matte matte finish then pop some of your loose powder into a small sample pot which will be perfect size for your clutch. Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is a really fine translucent powder which sets makeup for 12 hrs and you don't feel any weight on your skin! 

Under Eye Concealer;

Will there be tears? Maybe and some say yes I will be sobbing! Your under eye concealer should be fine unless you know its going to be very emotional,  then its no harm having it with you so you can apply a very little amount with your finger after the ceremony! My go-to's are Maybelline Eye Eraser or Urban Decay Naked Skin.  

Lipstick;

The absolute, without doubt, must have on the day of your wedding! I would definitely bring lip liner and lipstick with you because it'll be the quickest thing to come off you as you're chatting, eating/drinking or just if the nerves kick in. If you're not bringing a bag give it to one of your bridesmaids to hold onto because this is a handbag essential! Every bride is different especially when it comes to lipstick but I'd recommend having either a Nude or a Pink Sculpted Lip Quad with you and two of my favourite lipsticks for weddings are MAC Peach Blossom and Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink. 

Blusher;

I always say Blush is the finishing touch to any makeup look as it just adds a pop of colour, and a youthful vibrancy to give the face a lift. This is definitely one of the least common top up products but its still popular all the same. Bring this with you if you know that our going to want to rewaken your colouring up before the meal. I love our new Sculpted range of blushers; Pinky Hues, Sunset Sheen or Pure Peach depending on the colour prefer. 

Full Coverage Concealer;

This is for any bride with rosacea, pigmentation or someone who is guaranteed that with stress they are going to break out. Get your full coverage concealer to match your foundation shade and pop it in your clutch. It's the best psychological piece of mind you will have on the day rather than thinking I need to reapply my entire foundation if the tiniest bit of red breaks out because you won't have to!

Some of my favourites are the NARS Complete Concealer and MAC Studio Finish Concealer. 

These are genuinely the best products to keep close to you on the day, you shouldn't ever need to reapply your whole face so these are the ones to keep in your clutch for quick top ups!!
