Say hello to… The Tara Collection

The secret is finally out & we are just SO delighted to be able to share our brand new collection with you.  We have collaborated with the gorgeous and talented Tara Anderson.

( @ tara_makeup)

Tara has been working as a makeup artist for over 15 years and has always dreamt of creating products of her own. Aimee & Tara have also been best friends for many years, and so it seemed like the most natural and perfect fit to collaborate with Tara & create a collection together.

This is a stunning 4 piece collection including a Cheeks & Eyes Palette, A Cheek & Lip Cream, Brighten & Smoke Eyeliner Duo and a Velvet Lip & Gloss.

A little bit about the collection..

Cheeks & Eyes Palette- This stunning palette is the perfect handbag hero. The shades are all named after Tara’s nearest & dearest, her two sons, 2 dogs and 4 nieces!

The palette consists of 5 eyeshadows in total, 3 mattes and 2 shimmers.

Alanna (beige-cream),

Izzy (bronze shimmer)

Ruby (Warm red-brown)

Ava (cranberry shimmer)

Teddy (dark brown)

There’s also a brand new bronzer, powder highlight & blush shade.

Gracey (bronzer)

Jools (highlight)

Genie (peach matte blush)

Cheek & Lip Cream- This is a stunning cream tint in a peach shade. Easily applied to the cheeks using your fingers or with a brush and it also looks amazing as a soft wash of colour to the lips.

Brighten & Smoke eyeliner duothis unique eyeliner duo features a brightening creamy nude liner on one side, and a smokey black kohl on the other.

Velvet Lip & Gloss - The perfect peachy nude. A velvet peach liquid lipstick on one side and a dazzling nude gloss on the other.

Now that you know all about the collection, we thought we’d share some of our Sculpted x Tara lookbook with you and hopefully inspire you to get some glam on.

Look 1: Everyday Face

This look is so simple, it leaves the skin looking fresh and radiant and should take no more than 10 minutes to do. It’s the perfect everyday face!

For the Skin: Start the look with a spritz of Hydrate & Hold to hydrate the skin and prep it for makeup. Lock in that moisture and protect the skin with SPF 30 using some Beauty Base Pearl primer. Next, take Tint & Glow Skin enhancer to add a lightweight & sheer coverage tint to the skin. Conceal under the eyes with Brighten Up Concealer focusing the product on the darkest areas. Take the ‘Peach’ Cheek & Lip Cream and blend it onto the cheeks for a soft wash of colour.

For the Eyes: Using the Tara Collection Cheeks & Eyes palette, blend a little bit of the bronzer in shade  ‘Gracey’ through the crease to lightly dress the eye. Add the nude side of the Brighten & Smoke eyeliner duo to the waterline and finish with a layer of mascara!

For the Lips: Use the same Cheek & Lip Cream as before to add a soft pop of colour to the lips and if you love a gloss, try adding a touch of the Velvet Lip & Gloss.

Look 2: Lunch Date/Work Meeting

Catching up with the girls? Important work meeting? Whatever the occasion, we’ve got you covered with this softly sculpted, fresh and polished look.

For the Skin:  Again, we would suggest prepping the skin with Hydrate & Hold and Beauty Base (because we never wouldn’t do this) but this time we suggest taking  2-3 pumps of Second Skin Dewy for a healthy, medium coverage base. Second Skin Dewy is super hydrating and leaves the skin looking gorgeously illuminated.

Continue with some Brighten Up concealer under the eyes and then add some warmth to the skin using the shade ‘Gracey’ from the Cheeks & Eyes palette. Use this to lightly bronze under the cheekbones, around the hairline, the sides of the nose and also through the crease of the eye. You really can do so much with the right bronzer shade.

Add a generous touch of ‘Genie’ (the peach matte blush) for a fresh pop of colour on the cheeks.

For the eyes: With ‘Gracey’ already blended through the crease, take the shade ‘ Ruby’ , which is a gorgeous warm brown, and blend this onto the outer corners of the eye to add a subtle smokiness.

Then use the shade ‘Alanna’ (a soft matte creamy beige) across the lid to brighten and dress the eyelid. Finish the eyes by adding the Nude Brighten & Smoke eyeliner to the waterline and lots of mascara.

For the Lips- You’ll need a lip that’s going to last so we suggest applying a thin layer of the Velvet Lip & finishing it off with the gloss. This lip duo really is the best of both worlds.

Look 3 - Out Out- Full Glam with a pop of colour

It’s been a while since we have gotten to do some full on glam, and do you know what? We didn’t realise how much we missed it! Try this sultry smokey eye for your next date night or even for when you just want to feel like a million dollars.

For the Skin: Use the same prep with Hydrate & Hold and Beauty Base and this time take 2-3 pumps of Second Skin Matte. Second Skin Matte is oil free so it’s perfect for keeping the shine at bay when you are dancing the night away (even if that is still in our back gardens) .

Take Shade ‘Gracey’ from the Cheeks & Eyes palette to bronze the face, sculpting under the cheekbones, around the hairline and down the sides of the nose.

Add a touch of ‘Genie’ blush to the cheeks for a pop of peachy goodness, and a dusting of ‘Jools’ powder highlight to the cheekbones, tip & bridge of the nose, and also the decolletage because why not? We going out out!

Finish the skin with a spritz of Hydrate & Hold which will lock everything in place and help with oil control throughout the day/night.

For the Eyes:

Working from the same palette, blend ‘Ruby’ eyeshadow through the crease and slightly onto the lid.

Place the shade ‘Ava’- the gorgeous cranberry shimmer- all over the eyelid being mindful not to take it too far past the crease of the eye.

Next, take the black kohl from the Brighten & Smoke eyeliner duo, and place it on the waterline, but also along the top lash line for extra definition. You can choose to blend this out into a wing shape or just leave it as a defining line. You do You!

Using the eyeshadow ‘ Teddy’, smoke out the black kohl with a definer brush and then continue to blend ‘Teddy’ into the outer corners of the eye for some extra smokiness.

Finish with lots of mascara or your favourite pair of lashes!

For the lip: Going ‘out out’ means we need that extra staying power and also a dazzling gloss, so of course we’d suggest the Velvet Lip & Gloss as the perfect finishing touch to this look.

Look 4: Natural Full Glam

Not a fan of the Cranberry smokiness? Not to worry, keep it simple by carrying out the same steps as above in Look 3 but this time, swap shade ‘Ava’ (the cranberry shade) to the shade ‘Izzy’ (bronze shimmer) for a gorgeous golden look.
