Bronze Base Glow Up!

Summer is coming and that means it’s finally time to live out our bronzed bombshell dreams. That being said, as much as we love the sun,( I mean, you really can’t beat that feeling of lying in the sun with a good book and a cocktail), we know that this isn’t always the best option for our skin, no matter how much SPF we pile on. 

 

Sun damage is very real, and it can happen slowly over time without you ever really noticing it. On the skin, it shows up as wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots & blotches and this is down to how the sun interacts with a pigment in our skin called Melanin. Melanin determines how well your skin tans from the sun, we each have different amounts of it, and what it does is, it produces a deeper tone to the skin in order to protect it from harmful UV rays. 

 

I know what you’re thinking, fine lines, dark spots? No thank you, & especially not on our faces!

So, what if we told you you could fake it? Because with ‘Bronze Base’ you can. 

Bronze Base is our fuss free face tanning serum that gives you sun-kissed skin overnight. (literally) It takes just six hours to develop and so we like to pop it on at night as the last step in our skincare routine. 

 

 

Inside this sun kissed serum you will find all the Good-For-You ingredients, like Hyaluronic Acid, which hydrates the skin and helps it to look youthful & plump, and Vitamin E which nourishes the skin and acts as an anti inflammatory, antioxidant and it also helps your cells to regenerate, making your skin appear younger. (So, Basically the opposite of what the real sun does) 

 

We have developed it in two shades, Light/Medium & Medium/Dark. 

Light/Medium - This works best for those with fair to light complexions (those without much melanin) and leaves a natural ‘just back from holidays’ glow on the skin. 

 

 

 

Medium/Dark - This works for those with a more sallow complexion or who tend to tan well in the sun. If you love a good fake tan, we’d also recommend this shade for you, as it leaves a more pronounced colour on the face. 

We have given Bronze Base a bit of a glow up, meaning we haven’t changed the product inside at all (because it’s always been amazing)  but what we have done is remove the mini buffer brush and increased the product size. We've now moved from a 35ml to a 50ml, which works out at about 30% more product inside, but all for the same fantastic price! 

 

 

 

But that’s not all we have done.. 

 

Bronze Base is also now going to be refillable. We are always trying to think of ways to be more sustainable and kinder to our planet with our products, and so once you purchase our new 50ml bottle of Bronze Base and use it all up, you can simply just twist off the lid and pour in one of our new refillable pouches. Our refillable pouches are going to be €18 and they will be available from mid June.

Other things you should know about Bronze Base: 

• It’s one of the only non comedogenic face tans on the market, meaning it’s not going to clog your pores or make you breakout. 
• It’s vegan & cruelty free
• It’s safe for all skin types- dry, oily & even sensitive skin

• It lasts on the skin for about 2-4 days
• It has no drying time- which means no waiting around to go to bed hoping it won’t stain your pillow, or if you want to you can even pop it on before your makeup and let it develop throughout the day. 
• And one of our own personal favourite things about it.. There is NO FAKE TAN SMELL!! 

 

It couldn’t be any simpler to use and here are some of Aimee’s top tips for application: 

 

• Start by tying your hair back and popping on a headband. 
• Make sure your skin is squeaky clean and continue with your usual skincare routine. 
• Dispense 2-3 pumps of Bronze Base onto our mini buffer brush , and apply it evenly all over the face. *Make sure to cover your ears and to also bring it right up to the hairline as well as down the neck to blend in with your body. 
• Wipe through your eyebrows (especially if you have a lighter hair colour) to make sure they don’t stain. 
• Wash your hands & go to bed. 
• Wake up the next morning (or after six hours) with a brand new sun-kissed glow that will last for 2-3days. 
• After 3 days, repeat steps all over again to continue your glow. 

 

It really is that simple! 

 

So while a kiss from the real sun can age the skin and may come with a hefty sun damage price tag, tanning with Bronze Base gives you that same kind of Bronzed glow, just without the risk and worry of damaging our skin.
