Get The Look - Pippa The Blossom Tree Ball

Today on #GetTheLook I'm going to be going through the look I created on the stunning Pippa for the Blossom Tree Ball! As there was a pinky theme for the ball itself and Pippa was wearing an absolutely stunning pink dress with metallic silver and gold running through it, I decided on pinky themed makeup to finish the look!

Base

We used a really gorgeous luminous base on the skin before makeup. I love having a glow in the base as it makes your skin nice and dewy, and gives the skin a really fresh and healthy look, and of course using a primer helps your makeup last longer!

Foundation

I used the NARS Longwear Radiant foundation and mixed a little bit of MAC Studio Fix with it. The reason I did this is because MAC is a little more matte and it’s also long wearing so the two blend together nicely. The mix gives a dewy but long lasting coverage, which was really important because I knew it was going to be a big night where I knew Pippa was going to be photographed a lot!

I popped a little Charlotte Tilbury Magic Undereye Concealer in shade 4 for under the eyes or anywhere that needed a little added coverage. To set this I used the Perfecter Brush and Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. This sets the makeup for up to 12 hours and yet is light enough so you don't feel it on the skin.

Contour

I used Medium Bronze in the hollow of the cheekbones using the Sculpted Double Ended Brush, down the sides of the nose, and along the hairline.

Following this I used Pearl Pop Cream Highlight on the tips of the cheekbones and down the centre of the nose and cupids bow just tapping it onto the skin using my finger.

I popped Rose Gold Glow Powder Highlighter on top of this using the highlight end of the Double Ended Brush, just following exactly where I had used cream highlight.

And for that lovely Pinky Blush I used Pinky HuesThis is a really soft pink blush so I layered this a good bit and made sure that the blush and the rose gold glow fed together nicely so it looked like it was all very highlighted and glowing!

Eyes

Inspo on the eyes was taken from the gorgeous Rosie Huntington Whiteley, so we went for a really sharp wing. It's really unfortunate that we didn't get a lot of pictures that showed this, the night ran away from us! I created the sharp wing by using Inglot Gel Liner and the angle brush. It's important to use a really thin brush so that you have the most control over the liner. I then blended this gel liner out using a matte black eyeshadow so it slightly softened the liner.

The sparkly eyeshadow that I used was new from MAC and it was divine! It was called Slow Fast Slow and had a lovely glitter running through it, but the consistency is just a gorgeous creamy texture with no fall out, so it gives amazing colour to the lid! To finish off the eyes I used Charlotte Tilbury Eyecheat on the waterline and Ardell Wispies Demi Lashes

Lips

To give Pippa a lovely Pinky Lip I used Rose lip liner from the Pink Edition Lip Quad and a really nice pinky creamy lipstick on top that was non drying and gave a lovely colour!

Pinky makeup tones are on trend this Spring, we are seeing them everywhere, so we hope you liked this edit!

Lot's of Love,
